Forgeries, example:

Dangerous engraved forgeries made by Oneglia?

I have also seen a 1$ of this forgery with the same cancel 'RICH STALT AM 09 11 97 TORONTO'. They might be products of Oneglia. They also exist with a barred 'NELSON' or barred 'MONTREAL - QUE' cancel (see image of the 3$ above). If my information is correct, the eyes of the young Queen are apparently different from the genuine stamps.

Other 'Facsimiles'; they were made by a company in the UK in the 1980's in a souvenir sheet containing one stamp only. Only the 4 $ and 5 $ values were made. It appears that the 'minisheet' with printed perforation was made by the same forger.

Other, very badly done forgeries exist:

This particular forgery also exists without the 'SPECIMEN' overprint. I've seen the values 1$, 2 $, 3$, 4$ and 5 $. Most of the fine details of the engraving have disappeared. The earrings of the Queen on the left have become white blotches. I've also seen them with a cancel consisting of bars with 'MONTREAL - QUE' in the center (see image of the 5$ above). The letters of this cancel are very badly done and sometimes even absent. Comparison with a cheaper value will immediatly reveal these forgeries.

Another set of "Facsimiles" exists of the $ values with the perforation done squarish instead of round holes. They have 'Facsimile' printed many times on the back.

A similar design was issued in 2012, with the image of Queen Elizabeth in 1952 and 2012 for her Diamond Jubilee.

Some very rare provisional bisected stamps exist (1899) with overprint "1" (on one third of a 3 c stamp, leaves only in upper corners) and "2" (on two/thirds of a 3 c stamp). I have never seen even a picture of these stamps.

I know that the (provisional) surcharges have been forged, among them inverted surcharges by Andre Frodel. An inverted surcharge has been forged by the forger Fournier (it is listed in his 1914 pricelist).

I've seen an unlisted (bogus?) overprint 'Two Cents' on 3 c red.
