Fournier has made forgeries of these stamps, examples:
The easiest way to see these are Fournier forgeries, is to take a look at the lower and upper left corners; the horizontal and vertical perforation does not 'match' as it does in the genuine stamps. There are also subtile differences in the design of the stamp. For more information on these forgeries click here. On the forgery pasted on a piece of paper above the cancel "STE MARIE MADAGASCAR 12 SEPT 95" is applied. This cancel can also be found in the Fournier Album: (third row, 5th cancel):
Modern forgery, made in the 1970's?:
Another forgery with wrong inscription "ST" instead of
"STE".
30 c black postage due stamp of the French Colonies used in
St.Marie de Madagascar, it might be cancelled to order.
