I've seen many stamps with the cancel "TAMATAVE 2 MAI 89 MADAGASCAR" (even in different types!)

Many forged overprints exist, on genuine stamps or on forged stamps. The Serrane guide mentions that the stamp forger Fournier used the forged cancel "TAMATAVE 25 JANV 91 MADAGASCAR".

A page with forged Fournier overprints.

Fournier used the forged cancel "TAMATAVE 25 JANV 91 MADAGASCAR".

The 25 c surcharge is so big, that it is larger than the stamp. The overprint was made on stamps of type II of France (the "N" of "INV" is below the "U" of "REPUBLIQUE").
