1888 Inscription 'A percevoir postes egyptiennes', currency changed, I presume the next stamps are genuine:

Note the double cancel including a 'T' in a rectangle

These stamps have perforation 11 1/2. Imperforate proofs exist (but imperforate forgeries as well!). Genuine stamps sometimes have guidelines outside the design (this is not always visible though). As in the previous issue, there are four subtypes of these stamps.

Block of four proofs of the 2 m in black and green.

Most likely a genuine type(?). The first "I" of the left "MILLIEMES" has a large blob on it.

Most likely genuine stamps, the bottom one has a broken 'I' of 'PERCEVOIR'.

A genuine block of four 5 m stamps? In my view, they have the following distinguishing characteristics:
Top left stamp: very small dot in white part of upper part of the "5". Small break in thin frameline left of the second "I" of left "MILLIEMES". Top right stamp: dot in front of "VOIR"; Bottom right stamp, bottom part of "I" of "VOIR" missing.

In my view, this type (type I?) of the 1 Pi has a dot attached to the "P" of "PERCEVOIR".

According to me, this type (type II?) has a dot between "A" and "PERCEVOIR".

Type III of the 1 Pi? There is a dent in the thick frameline above the "C" of "PERCEVOIR".

Type IV of the 1 Pi value? In my view, it has a dot connecting the thin and thick framelines just below the "E" of the right hand side "PIASTRE" and some smudges on the right hand side and bottom of the "C" of "PERCEVOIR".

Block of 8 proofs of the 5 Pi value, showing all four types.

In my view, the four types have the following distinguishing characteristics:
Type 1: a break in the outer frameline above the first "E" of "PERCEVOIR"
Type 2: a scratch in the inner frame just above the lower right Arabic inscription
Type 3: a dot behind "PIASTRES"
Type 4: a dot connecting the inner frame lines just to the right of the "A" of the right "PIASTRES".

Type I of the 5 Pi stamp? This type has a break in the upper frameline above the first "E" of "PERCEVOIR".

With '.' behind 'PIASTRES', image obtained from a Daniel F.Kelleher Auction
Type III of the 5 Pi stamp with a dot behind the left "PIASTRES".
