Forged overprints:

Forged overprints exist (for example for the Krakow issue, in 1927 already 60 % of the common and 90 % of the rare stamps were forgeries, source: the above mentioned website).

The above forged inverted overprint can easily be identified by the cancel which is struck in 1917, while Poland was only created in 1918!
