Proof of the 12 1/2 c stamp.

Forgeries exist, example of Spiro forgeries:

(Spiro forgeries, note the strange 'Spiro cancels')

These forgeries look like Spiro forgeries, but they were not printed in the usual sheets of 25 stamps (the 25 c shown above clearly has another stamp printed below it). They often appear with the numeral "53" cancel or "FRANCO." cancel or a grill cancel. These cancels can also be found on forgeries of other countries. .

I believe this to be an Oneglia forgery, since it has the typical bars with "1" cancel as often found on Oneglia forgeries.

Forgeries exist, examples:

Forgeries with no dot between 'CUBA' and the year. Could the 1 P forgery be the one described in 'Focus on Forgeries' by V.E.Tyler? The nose is quite white.

Forgeries with bogus unreadable towncancel.

Imperforate forgery:

Forgery, possibly made by Segui

I have no information concerning the distinghuishing characteristics of the above forgeries.

(I suspect the above 10 c 1877 stamps to be partially imperforate remainders)
