Other British stamps with "ZULULAND" overprint are forgeries.
Forgeries, examples:
The above forgeries are not very well done, the letters are not
at all like the originals! It looks like the letters have been
handwritten on the stamps.
(The overprint is slanting in this forgery, the overprint is also
larger)
Another fake stamp, overprinted "ZULULAND POSTAGE" on a stamp of Great Britain:
(Reduced size)
Misprint, (or forgery?):
(The value part is missing in this stamp!)
Besides the 'simple' forgeries of this and the next issue, some deceptive forgeries exist. For example, I've been told that the forgers Fournier, Oneglia (1895), Leenor (1897) and Mladenovic (1909) made forgeries of these overprints. Forged inverted and double overprints also exist. One of Fournier's overprints is deceptive and measures 16 mm x 3 mm. The Oneglia forged "ZULULAND" overprint measures 16 mm x 3 mm. The Leenor overprint is 17 1/2 mm x 2 1/2 mm. The Mladenovic overprint measures 15 mm x 2 1/2 mm (an image of such a forged overprint can be found in the "Beilage zur 'Philatelisten-Zeitung' 1910, nr.5"). For most of the above mentioned forgeries, the overprint was applied on genuine stamps with cancel of the United Kingdom. Fournier also used a forged cancel "ESHOWE" (I have never seen it though). In the Fournier Album of Philatelic Forgeries three different "ZULULAND" overprints can be found.
Three Fournier forged overprints of
"ZULULAND"
Fournier forged cancel "ESHOWE
ZULULAND", the date is almost unreadable but looks like
"MR 2 2", the year cannot be distinguished
I've also seen some bogus issues with "ZULU" overprint or "ZULULAND" with a larger capital letter "Z".
A modern forgery of the 5 Sh stamp exists with very weird squarish perforation and the word "Facsimile" repeated many times on the back.

In 1897 (17 December) Zululand was added to Natal.
(Postcard of Great Britain, overprinted with 'ZULULAND'
The 1 p stamp was also used as a postage stamp
The following values were overprinted: 1 p lilac, 1 Sh lilac and red, 5 Sh lilac and red, 9 Sh lilac and red, 1 Pound blue and red, 5 Pounds green and red and 20 Pounds green and black. A manually surcharged stamp 5 Sh lilac and red should also exist (I've never seen it).
Forged overprint "ZULULAND" and forged cancel on a 20
Pounds Natal Revenue stamp.
The following post offices existed in Zululand (source: http://pbbooks.com/cr68.htm):
Entonjaneni (Melmoth) (1888)
Eshowe (1887)
Hlabisa (1894)
Ingwavuma (1895)
Lower Tugela (Inyoni) (1891)
Lower Umfolosi (1894)
Nkandhla (1890)
Nondweni (1891)
Nongoma (1894)
Nqutu (1893)
Ntingwe (1895)
Qudeni (1897)
Rorke's Drift (1889)
Ubombo (1895)
Ulundi (1893)

Eshowe is probably the most common cancel.
