I have seen postal stationery in the design of the 2 p with inscription "Privat-Post Leipzig".

These stamps exist with fancy overprints (LP in fancy letters in 3 types in red, violet, blue or black and a star like pattern in violet).

I've seen a postcard 'Courier-Karte' with a 2 1/2 p horserider design (brown) with 'H.B.' perfin.

PARCEL STAMPS:

With 'EINGELIEFERT LEIPZIG' cancels

Some parcel stamps were issued by Albert Meyer, from 1886 to 1923, some examples are shown above.

Also parcel stamps with inscription "PACKET EXPRESS VERKEHR" exist:

In 1909 a new local postal service was being set up, the "VEREIN STADTBRIEFBEFORDERUNG", however this was not very succesfull. A stamp of this company (the following values exist: 1 p brown, 2 p green, 2 1/2 p blue, 2 1/2 p yellow, 3 p violet, 5 p blue and 10 p red). I've seen them cancelled with a large circular cancel "VEREIN STADTBRIEFBEFORDERUNG * LEIPZIG" with no date.
