The first stamps of Ascension were issued in 1922, they were made by overprinting the stamps of St. Helena with 'ASCENSION'. In 1924 a new issue followed. These stamps actually fall outside the scope of this book, but I'll list them anyway.

1922 Stamps of St. Helena overprinted 'ASCENSION'

  2 p grey and black

  8 p brown and black
  1 s black and green
  2 s blue and black on blue
  3 s violet and black
