These stamps were overprinted "medio real", "un real" and "dos reales" to be used in Comayagua and Tegucigalpa with or without additional frame (*** to RRR).
The blue stamp (see above) is a forgery, the colour is wrong, it misses the two stars and the branches in the design (it is the third forgery described in Album Weeds, I have seen this same forgery in the colours red and green). It has the cancel "CORREOS 7.1.6? II-III'", which also exists on forgeries of other countries (Uruguay for example). This is the third forgery described in Album Weeds. It also exists with a "FRANCO" in a box cancel. There are at least 6 forgeries of these stamps, I don't know if the other stamp is genuine.
Two other forgeries, the first one is very primitive, the second
one (in red color) is made by the same forger who produced the
blue forgery shown above.
Other forgeries:
Forgery with second "N" of "UNION" almost
touching the pyramid. I've also seen this forgery in black on
red. The arch connecting the two towers does not have a central
line. The left star is badly done. This is most likely the first
forgery described in Album Weeds.
Forgeries, reduced sizes
Other forgery
Forgery with very large left star and broad "Y". The
catalogue of Placido Ramon de Torres
"Album Illustrado para Sellos de Correo" of 1879 also
has a very similar image on page 165 (information passed to me
thanks to Gerhard Lang, 2016).
I've been told that the next stamps are 'Krebs Brothers Imitations', I have no further information:
Forged surcharges as found in the 'Fournier Album of Philatelic
Forgeries' (reduced sizes).
