Forgeries, examples:

The word 'ONE PENNY' in the above 1 p forgeries is written too small (compare with a genuine stamp above). The bottom part of the small '2' is too long in the 2 1/2 p forgeries. I've seen very similar forgeries for Antigua, Gibraltar, St.Lucia and Nevis:

From 1890 to 1899 the stamps of the Leeward Islands were used in the Virgin Islands.

These 'war stamps' were issued on 20th October 1916 (the 1 p for letters and the 3 p for parcels, information thanks to Peter Elias).

A 1 p red and blue, 1 1/2 p grey and blue, 2 1/2 p blue and brown and 1 Sh lilac and black were issued in a design identical to many other British colonies (Windsor castle).
