Negri Sembilan is the smallest of the Malay States, its name means 'nine (Sembilan) states (negri)' in malay language because the country is consisted of 9 smaller states: Sungei Ujong, Jelebu, Johol, Rembau, Ulu Muar, Jempul, Terachi, Gunong Pasir and Inas.
