Forgeries:

I have seen a forged so-called Madame Joseph cancel 'Ocean Is JA 14' on a 1 Pound stamp. I presume it has been made by removing the fiscal marking, the stamp itself is genuine:

1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V, inscription '1910-1935'

The following values exist: 1 p grey and blue, 1 1/2 p red and blue, 3 p blue and brown and 1 Sh lilac and black.The design is identical to many other British colonies (Windsor castle). For stamps in the same design, but for another British colony, click here

The values 1 p violet, 1 1/2 p red and 3 p blue were issued (design identical to that of many other British colonies).

Forged first day envelopes were made by George Whitehurst (Birmingham, England).

 

1939 King George VI definitive set, various designs
