TRIER

1897 As stamps of Flensburg, inscription "PRIV. STADT - BRF - u. PCKT - BEFORDERUNG MERCUR", head of Mercury

  2 p green
  3 p red

I've seen postal stationary ("Mercur-Karte") in the 3 p red design.

1 1/2 p green, Flensburg/Trier
Apparently this stamp was also used in Trier (as well as in Flensburg).

ULM

The 1 1/2 p and 2 p were also used in Heilbronn.


WEIMAR

Some stamps of Leipzig were used in Weimar, they also exist overprinted with "Weimar".


WEISSENFELS

Some stamps of Leipzig were used in Weissenfels, they also exist overprinted with a "WC" in fancy letters.

I know that reprints of the unsurcharged stamps exist (also with pencancels). I do not know how to distinguish them from the original stamps.


WERDAU

Some stamps of Leipzig were used in Werdau, they also exist overprinted "Werdau".

I've seen sheetlets or 'Werbeblatt' all cancelled with "PRIVAT-STADT POST 5/6 94 WIESBADEN" (also 15/7 93) with this issue, and the 1887 issues. I've also seen a sheetlet with all the cancels issued by Wiesbaden. This was probably an attempt to sell the stamps to stamp collectors?

Local parcel stamps were issued with inscription "EXPRESS PACKET BEFORDERUNG ZITTAU Theodor Wuensch" in 1887 in Zittau. Examples:

ZWICKAU

Some stamps of Leipzig were also used in Zwickau, they also exist overprinted with "Z U" and crown.


Cancelled in Zwickau, but no overprint.

1893 Woman, inscription "COURIER ZWICKAU"

Some parcel stamps exist of Zwickau, they have the inscription "EWALD RUDIGER NACHF Express Packet Verkehr ZWICKAU". I have seen the values 5 p blue, 10 p blue, 20 p red, 30 p brown, 50 p yellow. Both imperforate and perforated stamps appear to exist. They are always cancelled with a concentric rings cancel (cancelled to order?). Examples:
