For the specialist: The number cancel that was used in Dominica is A07. In 1874 the first stamps 1 p violet, 6 p green and 1 Sh lilac were issued with watermark 'Crown CC' and perforation 12 1/2. These same values and the values 1/2 p yellow and 2 1/2 p brown were issued with perforation 14 in 1877-79. All overprints are on stamps with watermark 'Crown CC'. All values (non-overprinted) were issued with watermark 'Crown CA' in 1883-90 (except 4 p blue and 6 p green).

The 1 p red exists bisected, example:

('Revenue' and 'REVENUE' overprint)

Fiscal stamps: The 1 p violet, 6 p green and 1 Sh red exist with overprint 'REVENUE' (issued 1878). The 1 red exist with overprint 'Revenue'.

'REVENUE' overprint on 'One Penny' on 6 p green, the 'One Penny' overprint could be forged.

Note the strange 'Spiro' cancels on these forgeries!

This Spiro forgery has no watermark and is badly perforated 13. In the genuine stamps there is a small white space below the 'T' of 'POSTAGE' and the label with the value below it, this is absent in Spiro forgeries. I've also seen the 1 Sh of this forgery with a cancel consisting of four concentric rings with some number in the center.

Other forgeries, note the line in front of the nose of the Queen, even revenue stamps were forged! Most likely made by Oneglia.

Other primitive forgery of the 1 p value. Note the white patches in the hair. The design of this forgery appears to be similar to an image that appears in the catalogue of Placido Ramon de Torres "Album Illustrado para Sellos de Correo" of 1879 (information passed to me thanks to Gerhard Lang, 2016, second image) on page 163.

The forger Sperati made forgeries of the 1 Sh stamp. He also forged three 'A07' cancels, which he applied to this forgery. Example of a Sperati forgery:

From 1891 until 1903 Dominica used the stamps of the Leeward-islands.

These stamps have perforation 14.

I have seen postcards of 1/2 p green and 1 p red in the same design.

The war tax stamps were introduced on 1st September 1916: an tax of 1/2 p was obligatory for all letters within the British Empire (except local mail and Leeward Islands inter island mail). These stamps are known to be used even after 1930 (information: Peter Elias).

Postal Stationery

I have seen postal stationery with the image of Queen Victoria in a circle, in the values 1 p red and 1 1/2 p brown (issued 1879?). Sorry, no pictures available yet.

Furthermore I have seen other postal stationery with the portrati of Queen Victoria in an octogonal in the values: 1 p lilac and 1 1/2 p brown. Sorry, no pictures available yet.
