In Le Postillon Revue Philatelique of 1912, page 60, a description is given of the sheet composition of the two "UN" overprints. There are stamps with and without accent on the "o" of "Cote". A type with "U" and "N" further apart can be found in the bottom right of the sheet.
I've seen many stamps with the cancel "BINGERVILLE 31 DEC 03 COTE D'IVOIRE" or "BINGERVILLE 31 DEC 3 COTE D'IVOIRE" (even with '3' inverted); remainder cancels or forgeries?:
"BINGERVILLE 31 DEC 03 COTE D'IVOIRE" or
"BINGERVILLE 31 DEC 3 COTE D'IVOIRE"; the first stamp
also has an inverted overprint.
Two sets of 2 stamps with "3" printed in the center.
Both exhibit the same flaw in the right stamp, a misprinted leaf
just below the "PE" of "PERCEVOIR".
The Serrane guide says that many forged overprints exist on genuine stamps, but mainly on forged stamps. The forged overprints I've seen are usually on genuine stamps (unless they are printed on very good forgeries?).
The forger Fournier made forgeries of these overprints:
A page with forged Fournier overprints.
Fournier forgery, the basic stamp is also forged (in the 1 F
Fournier forgery, there is a dot behind the last "R" of
"PERCEVOIR". The forged overprint does not appear in
the Fournier Album.
Forged overprint on a stamp already used in Shanghai China in
1900. The top overprint is taller than in the genuine stamps.
Badly done overprint, most likely a forgery.
Two forgeries, in my opinion, the "C"s are too round.
The 50 c stamp looks like a Fournier forgery.
Some other overprints that do not look genuine to me.
A 5 c stamp with a slanting "UN FR" overprint, most
likely a forgery. And another very dubious overprint.
Forged basic stamp (note the extension at the upper right corner)
with forged overprint.
