In 1919 stamps with a tree and with inscription
'BATUM' were issued, also with overprint 'BRITISH OCCUPATION'.
Also stamps of Russia with overprints 'BATUM BRITISH OCCUPATION'
were issued. They are now listed in the world catalogue Volume 2 with
Russia. Examples:
From 1923 on the stamps of the Transcaucasian federation were
used in Batum.
